Day 18 - Sat 6th Apr 2024

It's our final day on board and it's been quite a rough night with the ship moving around a lot. We are up at 7.30 am and we're still rolling about as we steam towards LA. Well, it's not steam anymore, but it doesn't sound right to say we are 'dieseling towards LA'.

Breakfast in one of the restaurants is an omelette for me before we go to the theatre for a supposed culinary presentation, which is more of a comedy show, but quite entertaining.
There is walk around the atrium by many of the staff flags from around the world before we can walk through the galley. There's nothing going on, but it's interesting to see the expanse of stainless steel on show as well as a few humourous food sculptures.

The guy in the glasses in the centre is the cruise director. He's not had a good day, he's had a great day.

We have a beef roll for lunch and spend the afternoon at Movies Under The Stars (during the day? Movies Under The Sky surely) where they are showing the latest Jurassic Park film. It's better than sitting around the crowded main pools, although there's not much swimming going on as the pools have all been covered over as the ship is still rocking and the water is sloshing about.
We get a beer and return to the room to start packing.

After showering we are out to Crooners for a glass of Chardonnay before going to Crown Grill where I have the Black and Blue Onion Soup followed by Filet Mignon with fries. The steak is nice, but a bit plain.

The last trip to the theatre is for the Farewll Variety Show, which only proves to me that any show with the word 'variety' in the title should be avoided.
A drink in the Wheelhouse Bar proves to be our last as a subsequent trip to the disco at 10.15 pm is short lived as there's absolutely nobody in there. Ah well, never mind. Off to bed as the clocks go back another hour. 3 nights in Disneyland are yet to come, so it's not too sad.
