Florida
- Day 12
Tuesday 4th November 2025
Participants: Tam, Kev, India, Georgia and Charlie
Tam and I wake several times in the night
as we're cold. India is in the main room where the thermostat is
and Tam tries to change it, but we resort to putting towels on
top of us on the bed. We do get the temperature correct for the
next night.
Up at 7.15 am and shower before we try to have breakfast, but
there's no kettle or pan to heat water for tea. We request a
kettle for the rest of our time.
We meet Sharon and Evan in the lobby at 8.30 am and we're off to the Magic Kingdom.

This is one of the two parks that we've bought Lightning Lane Multipasses for. We arrive and head to Tron, but the wait time is showing as 85 minutes, so we give up and head to our first Lightning Lane at the Little Mermaid ride. We chose this in order to use our first LL as soon as possible to open up all rides for the rest of the day. Next is Pirates and then the Jingle Cruise (Jungle Cruise with a Christmas theme) followed by The Country Bear Jamboree.

It's been many, many years since we last did this, so I quite enjoy it.
We use a LL for the Haunted Mansion followed by another LL for Space Mountain.

Our final LL of the day is used at Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Even Tam does this although she always hates the drop. It's quite a nice upgrade from Splash Mountain and the final scene is very impressive.

We've got Photopass as part of our tickets, so there may be a few of these. I think Tam's face sums up her thoughts on the drop. Sharon doesn't ride as she doesn't like getting wet.
I've got real mixed feelings about the Lightning Lane Multipass. I really don't like paying $35 for the privilege of riding attractions that I've already paid a lot of money for and I really don't like having my nose stuck in a phone all day to get the best from it. On the other hand you can book 3 attractions ahead of time and this helps a lot.
We leave the park now and get the boat across to Wilderness Lodge where we head to Geyser Point Bar and Grille for a relaxing meal and drink. Tam and I both have the rib eye steak sandwich along with a margarita and a beer. It's very nice sitting outside with the lake in view although it could still do with being a little warmer.
We get the boat back to the MK and it's a lovely trip as the sun is just starting to set.

You can play 'Where's India' in this photo.

Not so difficult to spot in this one though.

I will admit the Christmas decorations make it look very pretty in the Magic Kingdom, but I'm afraid that November 4th is just a bit too early for me.
We wander through the shops (lord knows why) before we decide to ride Tron even though there's a 75 minute wait. I can't say I'm looking forward to it very much due to a combination of being irritable at the wait time and concern for the possibility of my motion sickness kicking in even though I've taken some Dramamine. Tam is also nervous just because it's a roller coaster. Of course this means that we that we get the front row. Holy heck does this thing ever accelerate at the start. It takes off and just keeps speeding up. I'd say it is more intense than Rock 'n Roller Coaster although it doesn't have an inversion. It must be a great ride if you can ride without feeling nauseous. My legs are a bit like jelly afterwards.

Nobody should look this perky after a roller coaster that fast. Wobbly legs should be the minimum requirement.
Back to Main Street to find a place to watch the fireworks. Charlie and I go to Casey's Corner and I get a foot long chilli cheese dog to share. The lady serving says would you like a free slushie? They poured one too many I guess. Still, it's a nice gesture and I thank her.

Happily Ever After is a nice show and the projections on Main Street add to the fun. Nobody particularly wants to stay for the parade, so we leave the park at 9.30 pm and get the bus back to The Boardwalk.
