Florida
- Day 11
Monday 3rd November 2025
Participants: Tam, Kev, India, Georgia and Charlie
Kev here - I'm taking over the trip report
for the rest of the holiday.
I'm up around 7.00 am as we're off to WDW today. We have a cup of
coffee and then pack and load up the car. Charlie goes to the
beach for a workout and swim and we leave the villa at 9.00 am.

We've enjoyed this villa very much. Lovely and quiet yet easy to get the free trolley to Bridge Street.

Charlie seems pleased to be going to Walt Disney World!
Just down the road is Jenny and Jane E's.
We ate there last time we were here and decide to have breakfast
before the drive to Orlando. On the way to the restaurant we pass
the dreaded pothole that I came a cropper in a couple of nights
ago. It's already been filled in, so I drive over it just to show
it who's boss.
Our breakfast food is really good, biscuits and gravy with a side
of hash brown casserole, which is just like potato
dauphinoise, for Tam, Charlie has a Cuban sandwich,
Ind and Georgia biscuit, sausage, egg and gravy and I have
ham, eggs, hash brown casserole and toast. Time for a last
shop for the ladies and Tam gets a bird print for Georgia's
birthday and one for ourselves plus a dress for Ind's birthday.
There's a final stop at AMI Donut Experiment for customised
donuts for later.

We also drop in to Publix to get some provisions mainly breakfast items.
The drive takes around 2 hours and we drop off the luggage and the ladies at The Boardwalk before Charlie and I return the car to the Car Care Centre and they give us a lift back. Our rooms are ready at 1.30 pm (5036 and 5038), which is great as we can unpack. The rooms overlook the main pool, which isn't ideal for us, but at least they're on the top floor so it isn't too noisy.
We head into Epcot through the International Gateway and go straight to the Ratatouille ride. Charlie and Georgia have never done this and enjoy it a lot. We decided to do it early in our stay as it's closing for refurbishment soon to change from 3D to 2D. We use the single rider line, which works well and we only wait for 15 minutes or so.
We're all a little hungry and the plan today is just to graze around the Food and Wine Festival booths. I'd looked at a few Youtube videos, so we knew some of the things we wanted to try. The first thing for Tam and I is the buffalo gyozas from the Gyozas of the Galaxy booth followed by a sea food pot pie from the booth next door. Both are really nice with the pot pie the slight winner.
We meet up with our old friend Sharon and her son Evan who have timed their visit to coincide with ours. After hugs we get a beer and chat before walking to Spaceship Earth. There is a fairly big queue, but we join it anyway. It's getting towards sunset now and decidedly chilly with a breeze blowing.
Walking round World Showcase towards Canada we stop at a booth for churro bites with apple, ice cream and caramel sauce. These things are a big hit and we have them a few more times during the holiday. Beers from Canada and we watch the band in the garden in the UK pavillion. They're very good.

I'm not sure why or how, but we end up in the Rose and Crown where most of us have a pint of Guinness. Lord knows why we decide to do this as it's $12 a pint. Still, it tastes ok.

These people have more money than sense.

Walking past the stage by the American pavillion we come across this. Apparantly it's Boyz to Men. They seem to be very popular.
A slow walk around World Showcase and we end up in Norway to watch Luminous the latest nightime show. Just before it starts a CM asks us to move. Apparantly it's a walkway they keep clear. Fair enough, but maybe tell us that with more time to find somewhere else to stand. We eventually move to a spot in Italy, not the best but it's ok. The show itself is pretty good, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it from a better position. It's certainly more fireworks heavy than previous shows.
It's extra magic hours tonight for those staying on Disney property, so we have until 11.00 pm to wander round. We go to the new Moana walkthrough area, which is really very pretty at night and also very quiet.

There's no doubt at all that this area of Epcot is very beautiful at night, especially with so few people around.

A ride on Soarin' and a fast walk to Ratatouille for a final ride at 10.50 pm before a stroll back to the room. In bed at 12.30.
